And while we wait...

 Ok, it's going to take the fur a week to get here, and the head blank somewhere between one and eight weeks. That's a long time and a longer time! What can I do while I'm waiting?

 Geometry. Yeah! Gotta figure out those spikes, right? In reference pics, the two hand spikes are HUGE and the chest spike is smaller. Naw, no way I'm going to make those full-size. The comfortably flat part of the back of my hand is 1-3/4" wide, so that'll be the radius. 1-1/2" looks great for height. We do a little math, and it's just about a perfect half-circle of fabric to cover the top of that cone. I'll spare you the same math for the chest-spike; just know that the proportions are the same, it's just 3" wide instead of 1-3/4". 

I had a brief discussion with a friend about why I was using inches here instead of centimeters. I told him that the whole suit works well on that scale. If I'm dealing with orders of magnitude, I'm 100% going with metric. 

Snagged some of the ubiquitous green foam from my storage area (basically all over the fucking house, 'cause I live like a beast) and snipped it down into the appropriate three spikes. Snipping convex shapes out of foam? Fun! I like it. Very relaxing.
