The importance of good tools
Oww, my fingats are mega sore from these cheap-ass scissors. They were only like two bucks, but I should've gotten some better ones. I can spend ten bucks on some good ones and save my fingers, or I can just build up enough calluses that it doesn't hurt to use cheap ones anymore. Guess which one is more likely!
Don't get me wrong, I've got some pretty high-quality tools. I've got Xuron and Knipex pliers for mailling, and they're really comfortable, especially the Xuron ones. I've got a bulletproof sewing machine that's just been sitting in my bedroom for a decade because I haven't had much use for it. And the best? A set of dog-grooming trimmers (wired, of course) that I use for every imaginable use.
Stuff like that lasts ages and you feel good every time you use it. Meanwhile I'm bending my fingerbones around $2 scissors.
